The militaries of humanity fight for mankind’s very survival against an alien race.
Meanwhile, undeterred, pirates, criminals, terrorists and the corrupt run rampant in allied space, preying on the weak and the innocent. Law enforcement agencies are unable to stem the tide…if they even bother.
Private militias, bounty hunters and others try to fill the gap, but they are not always effective and sometimes make it worse. Some even become the evil they fight against.
But sometimes there are individuals – so-called “Professionals” – who get the job done…for the right price.
